Scripture For The Week:   1 Timothy 2:1 ESV

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people.

Something To Think About:

“The only obligation I recognize is to say what I believe to be true [...] and to say it with kindness. I believe that is how a Christian conversation should proceed.” --Marilynne Robinson, the author of the Pulitzer Prize Novel, Gilead

Mission of the Week:  Engage 2025

Engage 2025 is a special mission focus of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church that seeks to engage those places and people groups in the Muslim world where there is no church and no ongoing intentional witness. The goal is to plant ten churches among the unengaged in the Muslim world by 2025. The strategy is for churches to band together in each presbytery as the most effective way to bring the vision into reality. This vision is guided by our core values to go “to hard places where others are not. We build Biblical community in culturally relevant ways. We meet needs. We strive for growth. We pledge transparency. And we do it to reach people with the message of Jesus.” Each presbytery in the EPC is encouraged to gather a team, which is made up of various members of the churches in the Presbytery. Eddy Macdonald will serve as our representative on this most important team.

Darlington Presbyterian Church is a member of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC). The EPC is a young, vibrant family of churches in thirty-two states and Argentina seeking to plant churches and challenge stronger churches to start new daughter churches. Our National and World Outreach ministries seek new ways to spread a great and life changing message, that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life. The ethos of the EPC is best summarized by its motto: "In Essentials, unity; In Non-essentials, liberty; In all things, charity".
